Our Story
THE LITTLE SUGAR FARM
A Farm Rooted in Family & Gathering
Little Sugar Farm is more than a place to stay—it’s a family farm shaped by generations, care, and the belief that people need space to slow down and reconnect. Located along Little Sugar Creek in southwest Missouri, the land has long been a place of shared meals, creek days, and meaningful conversations.
What was once simply home has gently evolved into a place where others are invited to experience that same sense of belonging. At its heart, Little Sugar Farm has always been about land, family, and gathering.
The Farm
Surrounded by open fields, trees, and quiet countryside, the farm invites guests to unplug and settle into a slower rhythm. Canvas tents are thoughtfully placed across the land, shared spaces encourage connection, and the creek offers a place to wander, sit, or simply be.
Nothing here is rushed or flashy—comfort, simplicity, and presence lead the way.
Sisters & Stewards
Little Sugar Farm is co-owned by sisters Jana and Niki. Together, they care for the land and honor the family legacy that has shaped it. Niki serves as a quiet steward of the property, helping ensure the farm remains grounded, balanced, and respected as it continues into its next chapter.
Jana & the Guest Experience
Jana lives on the farm and curates the guest experience. With a background in hospitality and travel, she envisioned a space centered on connection, storytelling, and intentional gatherings. From glamping stays and couples weekends to retreats and weddings, her focus is always on how guests feel when they arrive—and how they carry that feeling home.
Paul & the Heart of the Build
Jana’s husband Paul plays a vital role in bringing the vision to life. From building and maintaining structures to handling behind-the-scenes logistics, Paul ensures the farm functions smoothly so guests can relax and enjoy their time on the land.
Why We Do This
Little Sugar Farm exists for people craving slower mornings, shared meals, outdoor time, and meaningful connection. Whether you’re here to celebrate, reflect, or rest, our hope is that you feel welcomed—not hosted.
This is a farm with a story. And when you stay here, you become part of it.
